Executive Summary · § 01

The AI imperative for B2B finance

Generative AI (GenAI) and Multi-Agent Systems are changing how B2B business models operate. In the accounting, expense management, and accounts payable (AP) automation that Bizzi leads, AI is no longer a bolted-on feature. It is the operating spine. Our target is a Straight-Through Processing (STP) rate above 85%. More than 85 percent of business documents processed end-to-end with no human touch.

Traditional software runs on deterministic rules. If a document has field A, do step B. That structure works for standardized templates. It collapses against market variability. Hundreds of e-invoice formats. Contract templates from SMEs to multinationals. Sector-specific receipts, statements, and reconciliation reports. Free-form expense submissions.

AI changes the axis. An AI system reasons, synthesizes, and makes independent decisions. A Multi-Agent System reads a business document, looks up the related contract or policy, applies controls, and proposes approval in seconds. This is the architecture Bizzi runs across its AI products.

This power brings risks of a new kind:

  • Data privacy. Personal data on business documents leaks through commercial LLM APIs when uncontrolled.
  • Hallucination. AI fabricates financial figures with confidence, leading to wrong decisions in a workflow where errors are not acceptable.
  • New attack surfaces. Adversaries inject malicious instructions into PDF business documents to bypass controls.

In ordinary markets, the best AI product wins. In B2B finance, the best AI product CIOs and Legal will approve wins. That is the role of this framework. Not to throttle AI. To give CIOs a defensible basis on which to sign.

The Bizzi AI Governance Framework (BAGF) is built on five core pillars. AI Organization. Legal and Regulatory. Ethics and Transparency. Data, AIOps, and Infrastructure. AI Security. They are summarized in §3, BAGF at a glance and detailed across the technical sections.
